I know, I know, I have been away for like ever! I don’t know if I’m back but I do want to post some musings on here because I’ve had lots of those lately.
Firstly, I must say Happy new year!! If you are reading this, thank you so much for being my biggest blog supporter!! You are very appreciated for real.
Okay, the topic of discussion is Vegetarianism and how it relates or not to Christianity/ the bible.
Lately at work a lot of people have been going on and on about dieting and being a vegan (huh?). It’s no big deal, their choice.
So I work with a healthcare provider that deals with people prone to stroke, heart attack or high blood pressure, we help them on a program to lose weight, be happy and live healthier. It’s absolutely brilliant!!
I am not a vegan, so everyday I hear the health Inspirators talk about being Vegan, I’m like “I’ll just take a walk to my seat and see you later”.
The Heart of the matter
I was talking to a friend and we were on about this issue. I told my friend that another friend did say it’s biblical. (Now when you use the word biblical, my hears are like what are you saying?)
So it is Biblical!! Yeah, I know, it is. Genesis 1:29,30.. However, this was changed after the flood in Genesis 9:3 God permitted us to eat meat. Now, there’s an argument between permissive will of God and His actual will. Well, Paul says: do not judge anyone by what they eat!!
Jesus came to fulfill the law, that we no longer have to live according to rules of what to wear or what to cook and eat or how we should worship. Christ came to give us that liberty and boldness to come before the throne of God to obtain mercy and find grace to help in our time of need.
I found two controversial references. I do like to read for and against any topic I may be discussing about, so feel free to comment. No comment is wrong, it will be nice to hear what you have to say.
