Refrain, my Soul

The mountain tempting
When my soul is fighting

Beyond my eyes I can’t-
Life is beyond daunting

When my soul takes a leap
To its own “solace”

Refrain me from withdrawing
My saviour’s voice I hear

Increase my faith regardless
My soul’s desire to flee

Keep me looking up to you
My trust in you stamp

In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? [Psalm 11:1]

Remind me of the time past
When my soul desired to flee

Yet your love you gave more
And refrained me, restored me

Hold me close before I nest
Without your love —–

Your word continue to remind me
Instil in me your good counsel

And let me rise above this
That it be past and I be in thanks
