Diary

Oh, Save the Child

The rain pours showers

As it turns droplets

From a place so soft

Of maroon and tissues

Through seeming pipes

To sound like trains

It seemed that way

Like a village wailing

As though lost, their offspring

The train jerks, making way

Lurching forward and stopping

To offload its patrons

Like a circle it swirls

Down the track, a child

Will she hear mother?

Oh for it won’t be nature

It is but that olde train

The future of her bairn

Blaze through her stem

As ne’er rain showers rain

Ocean outflows its bank

It is like another reign

A reign of Queen Esther?

A dream, so many wishes
